The Dahlia is a new 4-story, 55,000 sf mixed-use development offering 69 studio and one-bedroom residential units, along with 8,000 sf of retail space on the first floor. Resident amenities include a fitness room, lobby with coffee station and a landscaped courtyard. Above-grade on-site parking and a bike storage room are also provided.
Part of the larger redevelopment of the Canby’s Civic Block, SERA worked with the Hanlon Development to prepare the site for this new development — several lots were consolidated into a single parcel, which contains the new building as well as the existing city hall and police station. The Dahlia’s design mirrors the neighborhood’s architectural heritage with a primarily brick façade, metal and wood accents, as well as Juliet balconies and bay windows.
The project aims to be a catalyst for the revitalization of Canby’s downtown commercial district, infusing the neighborhood with residents and after-hour commercial amenities to create a vibrant, walkable neighborhood destination for the city and surrounding areas.
