SERA partnered with Williams & Dame to create a master plan for the redevelopment of the Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) riverfront property in the City of Eugene. This work aims to connect the downtown to the Willamette River and builds on several years of planning to make the community’s long-held vision a reality.
The plan proposes an extension of 5th Avenue leading to a public riverfront plaza, surrounded by a restaurant, a hotel, for-sale townhomes, and market-rate and affordable apartments with ground-floor retail. The project will seamlessly integrate with the city’s planned riverfront park project, aiming to create a cultural landscape along the bank of the river. The long-term vision also includes a pedestrian bridge over the river that connects the new urban neighborhood, and downtown, to Alton Baker Park.
