Work

Foundation Headquarters, Oregon State University (Corvallis)

Seeking a new open-office workspace with modern amenities and a welcoming atmosphere for donors, the Oregon State University Foundation worked with SERA to transform an existing 40,000 sf tilt-up building in Corvallis, Oregon.

Entering on the ground level, visitors are introduced to a spectrum of daylit, flexible amenities on either side of reception. On one end, an expansive events space – with operable floor-to-ceiling glass partitions – can be scaled to board meetings, university courses, and grand celebrations. At the other end, an open-concept café and common space with flexible seating beckons staff away from their desks for coffee breaks, lunch prep and informal meetings.

On the second level, teams are grouped in open offices dotted by even more amenities – high-tech conference rooms; private workrooms; sunlit rest areas; central tables for collaboration; and a second café and kitchen. An open multi-functional area at the center of the workspace features mobile furniture, pin-up and writable surfaces, and stadium seating to accommodate team brainstorming and focused discussion.

New skylights, macro wall graphics, pops of OSU orange on key furniture, and ample wood accents throughout, excite the senses and reflect the warm, energetic culture of OSU Foundation.
