A cosmetic update for a popular existing hotel in the heart of downtown Boise, our renovation focused on encouraging the guest to linger in the lobby, experiencing a range of activities from a relaxing lounge in front of the fire to active working at the communal table. The design incorporated traditional patterning, such as plaid and lace, contrasted with rich, dark wood, leather and metallic accents to give the hotel a ‘pioneer chic’ atmosphere. Simple black-and-white photography highlights the historic downtown Boise and the rich terrain of Idaho.
