SERA provided professional design services for Linn County in 2016 to be considered for matching funding for a new courthouse through a state’s Courthouse Capital Construction and Improvement Fund.
SERA helped determine the space needs of courthouse tenants, right-sizing the facility to balance the realities of judicial appointments and the County’s budgetary constraints. At roughly 114,00 square feet, the proposed courthouse will accommodate six courtrooms, court operations, the District Attorney’s office and sheriff’s support spaces. SERA also provided pre-design services.
Linn County’s application was successful and approved for consideration in the Chief Justice’s recommended budget for the 2019-2021 biennium.
