The WorldMark by Wyndham is a six-story vacation ownership property near Tom McCall Waterfront Park in downtown Portland. SERA helped guide the project through Portland’s complex Land Use Review process with the Historic Landmarks Commission. The resulting design reflects the history of Old Town, which consisted of individual shopfronts of varying heights and materials.
WorldMark offers 75 units in a mix of studios, 1-bedroom, and 2-bedrooms, with three tiers of interior finish packages: standard, penthouse and Presidential. An ecoroof and lush landscape on the second-floor terrace treat all stormwater onsite.
Varying colors of stucco and horizontal bands break up the facade and reference the neighborhood history. The Italianate architectural style of the district is also reflected in the building, which features restored cast-iron columns from the City of Portland’s collection.
