Help Us Design a Wonderful Waterfront

SERA Architects is opening its doors during Design Week Portland to ask the question, “What does a wonderful waterfront look like to you?”
Like many Portlanders, we admire the Willamette – it’s the physical and emotional heart of Portland. And we feel lucky to have Tom McCall Waterfront Park, a strong model of urban walkability, greenspace, and Portland’s unofficial gathering place.
We wonder, in 2014, if our waterfront is truly living up to its potential.
How is our sea wall limiting our connection with the Willamette? What improvements to Naito Parkway would ease our access to the waterfront? What would make this place awesome, rain or shine?
We invite you to add your vision.
During our design discussion, we’ll work with panelists to develop creative solutions and get critical feedback from you. At the end of the event, we’ll have some tangible solutions – and hopefully, a greater reverence for our river.
Please join us. Tickets are free, but advance registration is required.
