SERA Welcomes Eight to Principal Group

In our 50^th year as a firm, SERA has grown its expertise across diverse markets. The foundation of which is our staff, who are focused on clients, serving our community, and creating long-lasting places for people. Our leadership represents a dedication to the firm, our shared values, and a vision for our next 50 years.

As part of SERA’s ongoing commitment to developing the firm leadership, we are excited to announce the addition of eight Portland-based employees to the principal group:

Matthew Arnold, AICP
Arnold is the Director of SERA’s Urban Design & Planning studio. He has worked at SERA since 2003.

Suzanne Blair, LEED AP
Suzanne is responsible for business development for SERA’s Workplace studio. She was hired in 2004.

Becky Epstein, LEED AP BD+C
Epstein is the Director of SERA’s Public studio. She has been with SERA since 2005.

Gary Golla, LEED AP
Golla leads business development for SERA’s Hospitality studio. He joined the firm in 2004.

George Hager
Hager is involved in firm operations as well as business development for SERA’s Public studio. He joined SERA in 2004.

Jeff Roberts, AIA, LEED AP BD+C
Roberts is a lead designer and is involved in business development for SERA’s Hospitality and Urban Design & Planning studios. He joined SERA in 2013.

Scott Shumaker, M. ASCE
Scott is SERA’s Urban Design & Planning studio leader, with a focus on operations. He joined the firm in 2002.

David Stephenson, CSI, LEED AP BD+C, NCARB
Stephenson leads a number of the firm’s Housing studio projects, and is involved in its business development efforts. He joined SERA in 2006.

Announcement of the new principals follow the January hiring of David Johnson, AIA, as Principal and leader of SERA’s Bay Area office. Johnson joined SERA from William McDonough + Parners, where he was a partner and managing director.
